Cycle Slam is our flagship fundraising event that sees our brilliant peloton put on their cycling shoes and pedal thousands of kilometres to help us #breakthecycle

Cycle Slam 2024 will see our riders cycling through Italy across 10 days of gruelling cycling! Check out our video from last year’s Slam below for a flavour of what to expect…

Core Rider
Entry fee: £5500
Fundraising target: £8000

Stage rider
Entry fee: £2500 (+£300 for a single room)
Fundraising target: £4000

Please don’t be panicked by your fundraising target! You have lots of time to raise the funds and lots of support from the RugbyWorks team to guide you on your fundraising journey.

What do you get?

As part of the exclusive Cycle Slam experience, all riders will…

  • Be riding a specially curated route just for this event

  • Stay in beautiful hotels for the entire trip

  • Have breakfast and evening meals included at the hotel or a local restaurant

  • Enjoy delicious food prepared on the road during the riding day

  • Have their bike transferred between our bike storage location in London, and the event in Italy

  • Have their flights booked to and from the event

  • Have access to on-road mechanics, physios and medics during the trip, as well as back at the hotels

  • Be given high quality Cycle Slam jerseys to wear on the trip

In addition to having all of this for two whole weeks as opposed to one, our Core riders will also receive a single room for the entire trip, some extra kit items, and priority access to physios.

About Slam

The Dallaglio Cycle Slam was launched in 2010 and has since become one of the focal events in the charity’s calendar. The first event saw Lawrence flanked by 200 riders taking on a spectacular route between all of the Six Nations stadiums raising over £1million for charity.

The Cycle Slam soon became a regular event taking place every two years and has gone from strength to strength.

Much of our work over the past 10 years has been powered by two wheels. Over five Dallaglio Cycle Slams, our supporters have cycled over 540,000km around Europe raising millions of pounds for our young people. 

Cycle Slam 2024 will see our riders journey through the beautiful towns and cities of Italy. The riders will be cycling many miles and climbing mighty heights whilst taking in the spectacular views and raising money for Dallaglio RugbyWorks.
